Bob's La Carrera Project

Every Project has to start somewhere...

I dream about racing a Studebaker-powered Studebaker in at La Carrera. The current plani s to have a car ready for the 2006 race. The class that I'm shooting for is Original Pan Am which requires the car to be a '54 model year (or earlier) and have the original engine displacement. The transmission and rear-end must also be OEM and available in that model year. The engine pictured is a 232 with a 3-spd overdrive from a '54 Commander Hardtop. The rear-end is a Dana 44 from a '55 Commander Coupe. Here is a second view of the motor. Also, Marty poses with the engine just before we stash it in his barn.
